Pencil Your Interest


See above for upcoming Portrait Party dates. A Portrait Party requires a minimum of 3 participants to go ahead. Need something sooner? Contact me to discuss further.

Exchange Ideas


We will schedule a 30-minute discovery call to chart out what a successful portrait session looks like for you. Share your moodboards and reference points and I'll offer ideas and possibilities.

Confirm Spot


I will reach out at least one week before a planned Party to confirm whether or not it is proceeding. If confirmed, I send you a booking platform with more specific time windows for you to reserve. Select the length of your shoot and confirm your spot with a deposit (50% of payment). If the Party does not proceed, I will propose new date options.

Time to shoot!


Bring your favourite clothes, accessories, props... anything is game! Through different conversational prompts, I'll guide you through the process. Over the period of your shoot, we'll focus in realizing your vision and leave some space to play with different approaches to generate and expand your variety of images.

Preview photos


Receive an online folder of all your photos lightly polished within a week's time. Choose 5 photos for additional retouching requests.

Receive final edits and high-res


After receipt of final 50% of payment, receive your final edits and a download key for all photographs in high-res. Additional retouching can be requested. A quote will be offered based on anticipated completion time according to an hourly rate of $50/hour.

Frequently Asked Questions

 

I'm not used to posing in front of a camera. Will you help me?
That is no problem at all! I will be guiding you throughout the whole session. I like to consider my photoshoots part conversation and part improv. I often ask models about topics or interests that can situate them in a familiar place. From there we will progress through a series of spontaneous posing prompts - don't worry if they don't feel right in the moment - what often emerges are moments of candor and authentic expression in between that make for a dynamic and lively images.
Can I have a shorter or longer time window?

Yes. I can offer a mini 30 minute session at $170 CAD. Please note it does not leave room for much playful exploration. If this is your preference, please contact me at clarencekitt@gmail.com to discuss!

Can we choose the studio for our photo shoot?
In order to keep my costs manageable, I work and select between a roster of preferred studios. These studios tend to supply the appropriate equipment, such as backdrop colors and lighting. However, I am open to exploring other suggestions you may have. Contact me at clarencekitt@gmail.com
Do you send all the RAW photos?
Typically, I provide a folder of high resolution JPGs. I can however provide you this by request.
Can I bring someone else to shoot with?
Yes! I do have a package offer for groups. Please contact me for more information!
What can be retouched?
The most popular requests consist of: taming hair flyaways, touching up skin blemishes, smoothing out wrinkles in backgrounds, skin tone correction and overall color toning. Feel free to suggest possible ideas and I will see what I can do.
Do you provide make-up and styling services?
I offer suggestions on what make-up and styling will work with chosen backgrounds but I do not provide actual make-up or styling services. The subject will have to be independently source them if necessary.
Can the shoot include other sets other than plain colored paper?
Yes! Please share your ideas with me during the Discovery Call. Some studios provide more furniture, lifestyle-oriented sets. I factor in your needs in selecting a studio.
What is your cancellation policy?

After confirming your spot with the deposit, I do not offer any refunds as I would have paid for the studio already.


If you provide at least 5 days notice, I can arrange a free, one-time reschedule.


If you don't provide at least 5 days notice, I will have to keep your deposit and charge a $100 compensation fee.
